Cadet
The 60 year old International Cadet remains a popular youth boat nationally and internationally, with in excess of 100 boats in the Nationals. The Otter fleet, being one of the larger fleets in the UK, prides itself on competitive success but does not forget how to have a good time on the water and socially - both for the young and their parents.

420
The 420 is a two-person international dinghy with a trapeze. It is one of the RYA pathway classes, leading to the 470, currently the single trapeze Olympic Class. 420 sailors get the chance to travel with many international events held during the year.

Topper
The Topper is making a real comeback and is now a recognised RYA training class with numbers in regattas oaften exceeding those of the Optimist. This class is for older or larger sailors beginning their sailing career as well as for our Optimist sailors who have outgrown their boats. Toppers are simple to use and maintain and there is an active fleet in Burnham.

Laser
The Laser is a single-handed dinghy, adopted as an Olympic Class for men since 1996. Using a radial rig, it became an Olympic Class for women in 2008.

Optimist
Affectionately known as 'Oppies', these dinghies have proved to be ideal boats for beginner sailors as they quickly learn to rig and launch themselves. Novices begin on 'the pond', graduating to the river as they become more experienced. They are excellent boats for both serious sailing and good fun!
